What's on over Half term and beyond in Harrogate

Lockdown is easing further and it is great news that both indoor and outdoor attractions are open to visit once again.

Please check COVID-secure measures set out by the venue before you travel and note any changes to opening times.

Spring time in Yorkshire is the perfect time to visit, and this year is no exception with so much going on, lots to do for all the family.

We've picked out a few favourites in and around the Harrogate area, and with our beautiful self catering properties, why not stay a few days and make the most of it !

Mother Shipton's Cave

Go wild in the Adventure Playground, or have your own Mad Hatter’s Tea Party with artisanal coffee, cakes, sandwiches and ice cream available to purchase from our vintage style coffee van. There are plenty of picnic benches with scenic views of the River Nidd and Ancient Royal Forest.

RHS Harlow Carr, A garden not to be missed, and with Betty's tea rooms on site, you can't go wrong ! Don't miss RHS Garden Harlow Carr Summer Garden Show, a must for garden lovers.  The Summer Garden Show features specialist growers, expert advice and fabulous plants, all in the lush surroundings of RHS Garden Harlow Carr - 24-27 June.

Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden.

Seeing bluebells scattered along a grassy verge or carpeting a woodland floor has to be a highlight of any spring walk. These delicate blooms can be found across Western Europe, but about half of the world’s population is right here in the UK. This spring at Fountains they're putting on quite a show.   Don't miss the adventure playground too!

Studfold Adventure Trail

Want to get out with the kids for fresh air and fun? Studfold Adventure Trail in the magical Yorkshire Dales is a play and discover experience for toddlers and children of all primary school ages, girls and boys, to explore nature and run wild. Did you know fairies live here? Mischief and surprises await you in our secret woodland and meadows. But first you’ll have to work out how to unlock the gate and make your way to the Village of Two Stone Wishes.

Bolton Abbey

Prepare for lots of fun and mud on the Bolton Abbey Welly Walk 2021! The woodland adventure trail leads you from the stepping stones to the Cavendish Pavilion. We would advise pre-booking a Bolton Abbey Car Park ticket for this activity.

Let your little ones put their balance skills to the test, scramble up nets, navigate the pole-to-pole and try their hardest to keep clean as they come down the slides! With many more obstacles in-between – it’s fun from start to finish!

Harrogate Food & Drink Festival

Harrogate Food & Drink Festival (June 26th-27th on The Stray), is a family friendly celebration of International Influence and Local Talent, expressed through International Food, Independent Drink, Live Music, Arts and Charity. All of this is underpinned by our core philosophy to showcase and expose talent based in the locality.
